The number of homes in the St. Louis region at some point in the foreclosure process dropped in March.

A total of 2,033 St. Louis-area properties, or one in every 606, received default notices, auction sale notices or were repossessed by the bank in March, down 13 percent from 2,341 in February and down 23 percent from 2,654 in March 2008, according to data released Thursday by RealtyTrac.
