St Louis Walk of Fame

St Louis Walk of Fame

Embedded in the sidewalk along Delmar Boulevard in an area known as The Loop, are more than 110 brass stars honoring individuals from the St. Louis area who have made major contributions to our cultural heritage. Every star is accompanied by a bronze plaque that sums up the achievements of an extraordinary man or woman who is associated with St. Louis.

Who's Who on the St. Louis Walk of Fame

You'll find such familiar names as Nelly, Bob Costas, Ulysses S. Grant, John Goodman, Cedric the Entertainer, Maya Angelou, Tina Turner, Lou Brock, Chuck Berry, Tennessee Williams, Charles Lindbergh, Scott Joplin and Redd Foxx, along with some maybe not-so-familiar names like Susan Blow (who created the first public kindergarten) and Pierre Laclede (one of the founders of St. Louis). The informational plaques help make this walk of fame educational as well as enjoyable. The knowledge gained from the plaques allows visitors to gain insight into the individual and his or her accomplishments.

The Walk of Fame is open daily, year-round, 24 hours a day.
